Study Boxes is designed as a local-first macOS app. Your boxes, tasks, notes, and resources are stored locally.

Permissions

Accessibility permission is used only for features that affect other apps, such as focus modes and window layout restore. Basic boxes work without it.

Browser tabs

Study Boxes can open study websites, but it does not inspect, manage, or restore individual browser tabs.

Crash reports

Crash reporting is optional and off by default. If you enable it, Study Boxes uses Sentry for technical crash diagnostics and avoids study content.

Licensing

Payments and license validation are handled by Lemon Squeezy. Do not send license keys over email unless support asks for a safe diagnostic flow.
